Arrivals
The official arrival day for the competition is July 26th. The Organizing Committee can only provide transfer services for participating teams on this day, using dedicated buses. The official arrival points are as follows:
- Liszt Ferenc International Airport
- Nyugati Railway Station, Déli Railway Station, Keleti Railway Station
- Népliget Bus Terminal, Kelenföld Bus Terminal
Please note that Nyugati Railway Station will be closed to train traffic until July 27. Passengers planning to travel via this route will need to disembark at an earlier station.
Teams arriving by their own bus or vans can park at the campus of the Hungarian University of Sports Science. Arrival address: 1123 Budapest, Alkotás utca 42-48.
Teams are kindly asked to plan their travel so that they arrive on July 26th at one of the above locations.
Transportation during the competition
The Organizing Committee will provide all participants a public transport pass, valid for the entire duration of the competition. All athletes, team officials, referees will be able to get to the competition venues, the catering centre and their accommodations using public transportation. Budapest’s public transport network is highly extensive: there are 4 metro lines, trams, trolleybuses, buses and suburban railways. The night transport system of the city is also active.
Key lines related to the competition: bus 139, bus 140, tram 17, tram 61.
For the opening the OC will provide dedicated buses that will travel between the accommodation of the athletes and team officials (Kőrösi Csoma Sándor Dormitory) and the venue of these ceremonies, in order to ensure that everyone arrive at these key events on time.
Departures
The departure day of the tournament is August 4th. Organizers will provide dedicated transfers from all accommodations to the departure points as well as for arrivals.
We ask all delegations to submit their travel plans accurately in order to organize a smooth transfer service, both for arrivals and departures!
