Conference and General Technical Meeting on Sunday afternoon, with important information
The Hungarian University of Sport Science was full of life on Sunday 27 July. The European University Volleyball Championship is not just a competition, it is a meeting point. A good atmosphere and great matches are guaranteed. This also became clear at the General Technical Meeting.
In the morning, a conference was held at the sports university, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, where more than 180 Olympic gold medallists from the past and Olympic champions study from today.
The opening speech was delivered by Mr. Adam Roczek, EUSA President, followed by a welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Tamás Sterbenz, President of the Organising Committee and Rector of Hungarian University of Sports Science. Also Mr. Sándor Toma gave a presentation on "What challenges do volleyball coaches working in university leagues face?" and Dr. Dániel Molitorisz spoke on "Enhance sports performance and injury prevention in one".

Afterwards, the General Teams Meeting took place, where Zoltan Rakaczki, EUSA Executive Committee Representative and one of the main organisers and the TFSE (HUSS’s university sports club) CEO, welcomed the large number of participants.
„I believe that this will be a competition of friendship, competition, knowledge and fun. It's not just a sport event, but an event of meeting for the next generation. Let's work together for a memorable and fair competition that will bring excellent moments." said Zoltán Rakaczki.
The event was attended by Ms Sanja Miklošič, EUSA Technical Delegate. The GTM was moderated by Eszter Gulyás, EUSA Sport Coordinator, who briefly presented the seriousness and diversity of EUSA's activities in sport. This is important because the organisers hope that the championship will not only serve as a competitive platform, but also as a legacy for future university sport in the region, inspiring young athletes and setting the benchmark for international events.
